According to the Regulations for the Training of Chess Arbiters, FIDE Handbook B.06, FIDE is organizing an Arbiters‘ Seminar during the World Youth Championship from 21 December 2013 to 27 December 2013 in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. Participation in this seminar and successful passing of the exam gives a norm for the title of FIDE Arbiter.

The venue of the seminar will be the UAE University in Al Ain.

Lecturer of the seminar will be IA Werner Stubenvoll from Austria. The language of the seminar and the exam test will be English.

- FIDE Title Regulations

- FIDE Rating Regulations

- Regulations for the Titles of Arbiters

- FIDE Tournament Rules

- Systems for chess competitions and Tie-breaks

- Regulations for Swiss System Tournaments and using of pairing program

- Use of the electronic clocks.
