Al Ain Calssic Tournaments A & B
AL AIN CHESS CLASSICS 2013
The Al Ain Chess Club invites all FIDE rated players to join the $30,000 Al Ain Chess Classic A for Players with rating more than 2000 & Al Ain Classic B for Players unrated or less than 2000 Scheduled 17 to 29 December 2013 concurrent with the World Youth Chess Festival at the UAE University in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
Rules and Regulations
1. Tournament System
1.1 The tournament is open to FIDE rated players and players with FIDE ID numbers.
1.2 The individual tournaments will be a 10-round Swiss System concurrent with the World Youth Chess Championships.
1.3 Draw offers are not allowed before Black’s 30th move.

3. Time Control
In Al Ain Classic A: All moves in 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 Minutes till end of the game with increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.
In Al Ain Classic B: All moves in 90 minutes with increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

· Only one prize may be won per person.
5. Tie Break
Cash prizes are shared using the Hort System and shall be decided by tie break in the following order:
Tiebreak system to make ranking will be calculated in the following order:
a) Direct Encounter if tied players have all played each other;
b) More number of victories (forfeits counted);
c) The average rating of opponents except 1 highest and 1 lowest Opponent;
d) The Buchholz System;
e) The Median Buchholz System (less 1 highest and 1 lowest).
6. Hotel Accommodation
GMs > 2500 by invitation shall receive room single and meals in the UAE University Hostel with sharing bath with one other player.

- Rates are with full board (3 meals a day).
- Third person can stay in the room with the extra bed option that cost with full board 200 AED in Danat Hotel.
- 4 person can stay in 2 connected double rooms or in executive Suites that cost 1250 AED with full board in Danat Hotel.
Dormitory accommodation shall be available with payment of 30 Euros per day for meals, transportation and other services.
7. Registration and Visas
Registration fee is 100 Euro for entry visa and bus transport from airport and return including AED100 for accreditation, but is free for GMs, WGMs, IMs, WIMs and all players above 2400. All payments should be made before the Technical Meeting. Please submit on the online form on the official website: http://open.worldyouth2013.com with ID photos and upload clear scanned copies of passports valid for at least six months (valid till July 2014). Deadline for registration for visas is 1 December 2013. Visas shall be sent by email.
