Last Year Medal Winners
WYCC 2012 has produced 12 new World youth champions.
The most successful countries of the championships were India and Russia. The third place went to USA.
U18-Open
In the category U18 open GM Swiercz Dariusz from
Poland, confirmed his role of the first favourite and took the gold medal with
9 points. The second place went to GM Gabuzyan Hovhannes from
Armenia and the third to GM Cori Jorge from Peru.
U18-Girls
A wonder girl from Russia, WGM Aleksandra Goryachkina swept away
the competition in the category girls U18 as she won the first place with a
point ahead of WIM Lisa Schut, who was second. The third place went
to Maria Severina from Russia.
U16-Open
IM Eliseev Urii from Russia won the gold medal in the category U16 open. The second place
went to FM Girish A. from India and the third to IM Chigaev
Maksim from Russia.
U16-Girls
The first two places in the category girls U16 also went to Russia. The first place went to WFM
Styazkhina Anna and the second to Polina Rodionova.Xiao
Yiyi from China, who was in the lead for the whole championship, ended
in the third place after she lost in the last two rounds.
U14-Open
In the category U14 open FM Troff Kayden won the gold medal. The
silver medal went to FM Aravindh Chithambaram Vr. from India. IM
Wang Richardfrom Canada won the bronze medal.
U14-Open
There was a similar situation in the category girls U14, where the gold medal was won by WFM
Mahalakshmi from India. Khomeriki Nino from Georgia won the silver medal and the
bronze medal went to WFM Monnisha Gk. from India.
U12-Open
In the category U12 open the first favourite Sevian Samuel (USA)
won the gold medal. The silver medal went to Wheeler Cameron (USA)
and the bronze medal to FM Zhu Yi from China. Golubov
Savaliy from Russia ended in fourth place.
U12-Girls
In the category girl U12 Vaishali R (India) won the gold medal. WIM Abdumalik Zhansaya (Kazakhstan)
was second and WCM Savant Riya from India won the bronze
medal.
U10-Open
The category U10 open was special as FM Nguyen Anh Khoi from
Vietnam won the gold medal with two points ahead of CM Sargsyan Shan (Armenia)
and FM Ram Aravind L N from India.
U10-Girls
In the category girls U10 Priyanka N (India) won the first place. The second place
went to Badelka Olga (Belarus) and the third place went to
Maltsevskaya Aleksandra (Russia).
U08-Open
Abdusattorov Nodirbek (Uzbekistan) won the gold
medal in the category U8 open. The silver medal went to Uzumcu Ahmet
Utku (Turkey) and the bronze medal was given to Shen Christopher (USA).
U08-Girls
In the category girls U8 Asadi Motahara (Iran) won the gold medal.
Tereshechkina Taisiya (Russia) won the second place and Juhasz Judit
(Hungary) won the bronze medal.
